IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate
The IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate was completed as a series of nine individual courses to receive an identity-verified certificate and unique IBM digital badge credentials.
This program offers the ability to learn the core principles of data analysis and gain hands-on skills practice. Working with a variety of data sources, project scenarios, and data analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Cognos Analytics, I gained practical experience with data manipulation and applying analytical techniques; culminating with my IBM Data Analyst Capstone Project, “Technological Trend Analysis.”
Here is a brief synopsis of what I learned, followed by the nine-course listing:
✦ Demonstrate proficiency in using spreadsheets and utilizing Excel to perform a variety of data analysis tasks like data wrangling and data mining.
✦ Develop working knowledge of Python language for analyzing data using Python libraries like Pandas and Numpy, and invoke APIs and Web Services.
✦ Create various charts and plots in Excel & work with IBM Cognos Analytics to build dashboards. Visualize data using Python libraries like Matplotlib.
✦ Describe data ecosystem and Compose queries to access data in cloud databases using SQL and Python from Jupyter notebooks.
The nine-course certificate includes:
Below are the finished projects for the first eight courses on GitHub and in IBM Watson Studio w/ Cognos, concluding with the IBM Data Analyst Capstone Project, “Technological Trend Analysis,” located here in my portfolio.
